First Memory of Bullying (Ostracization)
Now that we've gone over what bullying is and what to do about it, I get to regale you with memories. My earliest memory (keep in mind that I am a very forgetful person) is from when I was in kindergarten. Children can be vicious when they want to be. There was another girl who came from Vietnam fairly recently and couldn't speak English very well. Most of the other children chose to ignore or tease her because they couldn't understand what she was talking about. I, being the only other person capable of minimal Vietnamese, was delegated the job of the translator. Unfortunately, I was just starting to learn the language and the frustration of being asked so many questions I couldn't answer led to the isolation of the other girl. She ended up very sad. By the time I got over my frustration, it was already the end of the year, and I never saw her again. Remember that other people have feelings and opinions, and your actions might affect them in more ways than you think.
